There are so many workshops regarding Sacred Cacao and Cacao Ceremonies.

I am not planning on teaching whatever you can find online. This workshop is going to be about my experience with Sacred Cacao since I was a kid growing up in Mexico and my experience for personal growth as a Mexican Shaman and working with clients as a Curandera. You will learn how to prepare Ceremonial Cacao and lead ceremonies.


PROGRAM INFORMATION

  • This program is open to everyone that wants to learn about Curanderismo. You don't need any experience.
  • It does not matter who you are, your background, your knowledge about these practices, your ethnicity, your financial status, etc.
  • The only two things that are important in joining our program, are to have an open heart and to respect our tradition and the keepers of this tradition.
  • This workshop is 2 weekends long and on one of those days the class/practice is going to be in a temazcal or Mexican Sweat Lodge
  • The dates are August 2023, 5, 6, and 12 at my school in Fresno, CA, and August 13 for the Temazcal Ceremony with Sacred Cacao in Springville, CA.

CURRICULUM

The main focus of this workshop is to create practitioners that are spiritually strong to work on themselves, to heal their hearts, and to lead Cacao Ceremonies in a regular environment or in a Temazcal.

  • How to heal with cacao
  • How to toast, grind, and prepare your cacao for ceremony
  • How to perform a Limpia or energy cleansing Ceremony with Cacao
  • How to use Cacao with the Curanderismo Directions or Rumbos
  • How to connect with the spirit of the Cacao
  • How to connect with the spiritual guardians of the Cacao Spirit
  • What to carry in your Cacao Medicine bag

Instructor and Maestra of the Mexican Tradition:

The Curanderismo Tradition of Mexico is the Ancient way of bringing the body, mind, emotions, and soul back into a state of balance. Customarily an elder Curandera(o) teaches the tradition in oral form. Ixtoii Paloma Cervantes is an elder, instructor, or “Maestra” of the Curanderismo Tradition and also a full-time Curandera and Shaman. She was born and raised in Mexico into the tradition. She started working full-time as a Curandera in the 1980’s. In the late 90’s she moved to the UK and then to California (USA) where she kept her practice and started to teach Mexican Shamanism and Curanderismo and other spiritual modalities. Now not only does she teach in California, but also in other states and countries.

It is important to know that she is not an anthropologist or historian. Paloma learned from her teachers in the ancient way, “oral tradition”.

*IMPORTANT NOTE: Paloma is a Mexican Shaman who believes that "medicine plants" are helpful to some people only when used properly in ceremonies. The use of any conscious expanding plant or animal medicines should only be used with the strict and loving guidance of an experienced facilitator. She does not allow the use of any plants, brews, ceremonial tobacco, recreational drugs, alcohol, cannabis, etc. in her workshops or healing ceremonies. Please do not use these before or during her events and services. If you do so you will be asked to leave the event immediately and without a refund. For medicinal plant or animal medicine guidance, please arrange for a private consultation to discuss your particular needs and expectations.
